In this Voices of Video interview, **Alexander Leschinsky** and **Martin Schmalohr** share how in 25 years of company history, G&L has carved a niche in optimizing live and VOD workflows and significantly reduced operational costs through the strategic deployment of cutting-edge technologies such as [NETINT](https://netint.com/) transcoders, [Blackmagic Design](https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/) SDI equipment and the innovative [Norsk](https://norsk.video/) SDK.

Together, they identify the technical issues enterprises typically face in new technology deployments and the approaches G&L uses to overcome them. They conclude with a case study involving multiple-tier transcoding using AV1 for contribution and delivery.
