G&L Geißendörfer & Leschinsky GmbH employs Internet specialists who know how to produce media content. Personnel who are initially interested in content and then raise the question: Which well-known and which new technical solutions make sense for the project?
Hans W. Geißendörfer, the founder, author, and producer of the German television show "Lindenstrasse", has always been fascinated by technical innovations. Time and time again, he used innovative technologies that were not yet used in series production, such as video production instead of film production, or the nonlinear editing suite – as well as streaming. In 1999, he founded the streaming division of the Geißendörfer Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH ("Geißendörfer film and TV productions" or GFF). One of the first projects involved the on-demand availability of the German TV show "Lindenstrasse". Today, fans always have access to each and every episode: the current episodes can be accessed in the Internet as a stream.
That also convinced other radio and television stations and the streaming division starting doing business with various broadcasting stations and companies. From the very onset, it also realised individual solutions and thus made a name for itself as the partner for innovative projects in the Internet. On 1.1.2006, the streaming division saw the fruits of its success when it founded an independent company, G&L Geißendörfer & Leschinsky GmbH – the system vendor for streaming, software development, and Internet services.
